My name is ChaA'llisa Taylor. I have been designing sites since high school. I worked, played sports, and maintained good grades all while exploring my love for designing web sites. I have collaborated with others in team environments and can communicate with others effectively. When working on my own, I am driven, self orientated, focused, and energetic. I am calm under pressure and always meet my deadlines. While at the University of Arizona’s bootcamp, I learned many great skills. My primary programming language is Javascript with experience with Google Firebase, MYSQL, Mongoose, jQuery, and MERN. I excel at the design process and research. I enjoy working on the back end because I have a love for challenges and learning new things. The back end is always changing and new tools are always implemented. For these reasons, I would love to work on the back end of more sites in the future.
The languages I am profiecent in are Javascript, jQuery, CSS, HTML5, and ReactJS.
My skills include Materialize, Bootstrap, Git, Github, Heroku, RESTful API, AJAX, Firebase, Node Js, MySQL, MongoDB, Express, Handelbars.js, API/JSON, Command Line, Database Theory, Responsive Design, SEO, State Management, and Computer Science Fundamentals
What comes next are some of the projects I have worked on. While all were fun to work on, they came with quite a few challenges. Each challenge made me a better programmer and deepend my love for coding.
The Picnic Planner app was designed to make the process of planning a picnic easier. You can search for many healthy recipes, look at the weather, and document the recipes you find in a convient on site calendar. I took on the role of fetching the data from the api. The api I chose to use came from Edamam. After fetching the data, I helped with merging the differnt codes together. We used JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and a small portion of Angular.js.
This app was designed for convience. To give it a try, click here. A copy of the code used to produce the Picnic Planner can be found here.
The Crystal Game is a guessing game. You have 4 crystal gems you can click on. Each one has a random number assigned to it. The goal is to reach the number displayed on screen. If you go over that number, you lose. This was my very first aproach to creating a game and I had so much fun creating it. I developed this game on my own. The skills used were HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

Free-Lance is a new take on an old idea. It is a task service that emphasises on helping other programmers through the completion of challenges. Once a challenge is completed, the user gains FL Points. FL Points can be used to redeem cool features on the site.
Though the site is still in development, the prototype is availible for testing. Click here to test the site out and send me an email with your thoughts. A copy of the code used to produce Free-Lance can be found here.
Pet 2 Person is pet finder app. The user can search through all the different adaoptable pets.We took a "Tinder" aproach when it came to the concept. In this project, I was in charge of the user login, the pet api, and displaying the pet's information. The api we used came from PetFinder.com. We used, JavaScript, ReactJS, Node.js, MongoDB, Express, and AJAX.
Though the site is still in development stage, the prototype is availible for testing. Click here to test the site out and send me an email with your thoughts. A copy of the code used to produce Pet 2 Person can be found here.
